Having played later DBZ games, this one still holds its own. later versions of Dragonball like "Ultimate Tenkaichi" lack the playability with awkward control mappings and awful cut scenes that ruin the flow of action. This game however, brings the fight straight out of the anime into your control. they should release an online version for PS3 and keep the button mappings while adding new moves and specials for each character.
One of the best things about Tenkaichi 3 is the group battles, which means that even if you master a characters fighting technique, you can switch the game on hard and fight up to 5 characters one by one in dual mode.
Then if you still beat the crap out of them, you can give them all special ability s in evolution z options which will (if done correctly) increase the difficulty and then some. The only problem I had with this game was that the music wasn't from the movies I watched back in the day.
The only fighting games better than this is Punchmania Hokuto no ken arcade machine and Raging Blast 2.
