Best Dragon Ball Z game to date.

User Rating: 9 | Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 PS2
I loved this game the moment I started playing it. Let's review:

Gameplay:
The gameplay is really fun and fast paced. It consist of button mashing mostly which make it a wortwhile game to play. There are clashes in blasts in which you have to rotate the analog stick very fast to beat your opponent, or mash on random buttons. As you scour the game looking for the 7 dragonalls, shenron will appear as you enter the main menu, depending on which type of Shenron dragon it is (red, green , nameck) are the sets of items/characters/prizes you get to choose from. Then you start all over again. You can play it for hours without getting bored. There are over 150 characters to choose from all over the DBZ world and a lot of items to unlock which keeps you playing, including an entertaining multiplayer mode,

Gameplay-multiplayer/tournament/shenron:

Multiplayer allows you to play against friends or the CPU, in team battles or singles, you may choose the announcer of your fight, how long it is, which music plays in the background, etc.

Tournament is an interesting feature to say the least. Time goes by in the game, and depending which time it is, prize eligable tournaments become available, including the Yamcha Games and Other World Tournaments. Each has their own creative designs/features. (ex. When you play the yamcha games, your character is picked randomly) There are different levels of difficulties which are picked due to time, and you can unlock different characters/items shall you win. If you don't feel like waiting for a tourny, you can also do a free one in which you pick your own difficulty, characters, etc. (but you won't gain anything)

Gameplay-Graphics:

With nice clean anime-style graphics, this game doesn't dissapoint visually. Even with the surrounding landscape, I found this game visually appealing as it stayed true to it's Dragon Ball form.

Story Mode:
The story mode was kinda the most dissapointing part to the game. It's very short but it does capture the most important battles of the DBZ series in man different Sagas. The bad part is thatthere are only 2 characters on a screen at a time during cut scenes so its ugly to watch different characters talk when theyre off-screen.

Characters:
There are so many characters to choose for the DBZ Universe. Over 150. More than any other game ever. All transformations and everything. Then I started watching more episodes of Dragon Ball Z and found that there are quite a few characters missing, i'll just have to wait for the 4th installment to play as those few characters (including Goku and Vegeta Jr.)

Well, in my opinion, this is the best DBZ game ever and one of the best 3D fighting PS2 games of all time.

The Good:
Great fun fast-paced gameplay, lives up to the hype, great game modes, lot of unlockables

The Bad:
Story mode is too short, only 2 characters on screen at a time,
