fun, but disappointing

User Rating: 7.5 | Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi PS2
The series has improved, there's no doubt about it and Budokai Tenkaichi
is good, but it's sub-standard especially after the simply awesome Budokai 3, The game has good presentation of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT
The amount of characters in this game is staggering, every character from DBZ & DBGT and the DBZ movies are there like Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Broly,
Bojack, Majin Buu, Super Buu, Kid Buu, Piccolo, Gohan the list goes on and on
The features are pretty good, like the fighting system is good and there's one problem, it feels stripped-down to Budokai 3's Saiyan Overdrive System, It feels like a third-person action game and the arenas are wide and open-ended, making for fights similar to the show
Even hardcore fans of the show may scoff at the fact that the multiplayer is less fun this time around
The camera angles in it shows the fights from the characters' shoulders and it's less dramatic
The cel-shaded graphics are still there, which is still very good
and even before the game was out, I had high hopes for it and the execution is still good enough, even if it didn't live up to the high standards of Budokai 3 and that's not gonna stop hardcore DBZ fans from Budokai Tenkaichi.
