It was a nice change, for a while... but I'll stick with Budokai 3.
Considering the developers took 3 games to get Budokai right.. I imagine it'll be the same around here.
I enjoyed Tenkaichi, I'll admit, but it wasn't fun enough to keep me interested. The game is lacking in one of the most important DBZ features, screaming, and BIG EXPLOSIONS! Many of the attacks just create a colored puff of smok upon missing or hitting, and it seriously disappointed me. Not to mention transformations were non-exsistant, you need to actually unlock a completely different character in order to consider it transformed. An example would be... You start off with regular Goku. And as you play, you eventually unlock SS Goku, then SS2 Goku and so on, and in battle modes you have to pick between the seperate ones. Now considering you don't need to worry about Ki levels like in Budokai or reverting your transformed state... I still think its just not on the ball.
I had fun blasting each character through things such as hills and whatnot, but I thought the levels were just too small... I couldn't mimic Dragon Rushes right (because enemies would bounce off the walls) nor could I send enemies twirling all that far in the air and hit them with a powerful energy attack.
All in all I think this is a good game in its own right, though if you've played the Budokai series, it might not seem to flashy.
