Has its goods and its bads, but over all, a very good game.
First, like most of you have heard, the amount of characters in this game is outstanding. But i would have to agree with other people when i say it still lacks some good characters that i feel are just as important to the storyline. Pikkon for example, or Garlic Jr., or that one guy from the movie with the giant parasite tree thing (i forgot that guys name, looks like Goku), etc.... but even without those characters it's still nice to have the ones they added. Many people complained about this game not having Omega whats his face or Uub, personally i thought Uub was a cheap fighter. and I never used Omega Shenron.
The moves in this game are good. they were different with most of the characters. For example, Goku doesn't have the exact same moves at SSJ Goku. and SSJ Goku doesn't have the same moves as SSJ2 Goku. To me that's a plus because while the general character is the same, it makes it feel like two different people. I definately love the fact that they took out that Dragon Rush thing or whatever it was from the 3rd one. That's good cuz even the weakest character could've used that and then it's a game of luck, not skill. I've heard some people say they're having a hard time keeping a lick on. but i never have a problem with that. once I lock on, i stay locked on.
The camera angles suck at times. if you get stuck in some kind of corner you can barely see your guy if at all and that alone can make you loose a fight. another annoying thing is when the person you're fighting is directly above you you can see them verywell, and almost none of your energy attacks hit. But all in all it's actually not too bad of an idea
A lot of people complain about the buttons in reviews. i think they're just fine when you learn'em. My little brother sucked at the other DBZ games but in this one he's not that bad because you dont need to string in a crap load of buttons to pull somthin off. That can sometimes make a newbie the best player in the world, but that's good for all of you who think you're tough stuff. It makes it a little more fair for the other player.
Another thing many people have complained about is that Z-Battle Gate thing. I think it's just fine the way it is. it takes you through all the fights the characters had, and even some "what if" fights where you get to take Bardok and kill Frieza and see what if that happened.
One thing i dont like is how really big characters like Broly can't be budged by basic hits. this forces you to be cheesy and use energy attacks the whole time. and it really blows when you play multiplayer, and you both pick random to minimize the whole " why do you always pick the same guy" issue, and you're stuck with Hercule, or you're fighting Broly and you can't punch'em.
The graphics are great. best so far, in my opinion. one thing i'd change though, is the aura things around the character. i think they could've done more with that. the characters barely have any.
So in conclusion, great game. a lot of fun. it's fair to both new players and people who play it 24/7 in that you have to remember 30 different combinations to do somthing. Graphics are good. Missing some important characters, but still a good selection. I'd deffinatly suggest you buy this game. especially if you're a DBZ fan.
