The game really can entertain DBZ fans and also others.
The campaign is very long and its called "Z games gate".All the sagas in Dragonball z and gt are there to play,that sagas that you watched on tv.The order of which sagas to play first is a choice of yours.Witth completing sagas,new sagas open that you can play.You get an object how to defeat the enemy and there are some different ways,one way is to defeat the enemy how do you want with no time limit.The second way is that the objective is to defeat the certain opponents with a finish or super-finish move with time limit.Or the last way-just with time limit.So the sagas are very exiting,but what i miss is that no transformations from a normal saiyan to a super-saiyan is shown.And also i miss some video clips that could be and they would connect one fight with an other.I would say that the longest campaing ever.With some videos and connections with the battles the game would ba a far greater success than now.Im a little disappointing,But all-in-all the campaign is good,its the right "Beat em up"game that we wanted.
One new thing in Tenkaichi that is different that in other Budokai game,is the 3D fighting view that comes quite handy.In other Budokai games you fight in 2D thats like in Mortal Kombat or Tekken games.But the camera is a little bad,you can lose track of your opponents easly,then you have to fing him aggain,thats why you have a button with it you can rotate camera and thats how you can find enemy easyer.So the game is played in a third-person view and its a action game,what you allready know.
You got a behind-the-back perspective on the action, though the camera will lean a bit to the side when you get up close to your opponent and will cut to an entirely different camera angle for special moves.You have a special radar what is not very realistic to easyer find your opponents.
You attack with buttons like the triangle you shoot a blast at opponents, circle to kick ,you fly with x and more powerfull blast like "kamehameha" that are called finish moves or super-finish moves like the "Spirit bomb" with holding down the L2 button and then pressing the triangle or L2 and triangle with arrow up.You also have favourite attack styles like "Keo-kan"by Goku,you activate it when you fight a little when you get enough "fighting points" then you can activate it with L2 and cirle and up.Different charecters have different attack and there are really tons of tons of charecters you first have to unlock them.As allready said you got finish and super-finish attack.The attack are very powerfull but you need "Ki" for it,you get ki with fighting to first level of "ki"and to second with powering yourself up,you just blast with enery.There are three levels of "ki",you can come to level two and three with figting and getting certaing fight points-from one to three.The fight are incase very simple if you master them,the game can be hard sometimes but all-in-all the game is not so hard.
You'll earn loads of Z items in the Z Battle Gate, which are special performance-enhancing modules that you can apply to different characters. Each character has a limited number of slots for these enhancements, though certain Z items can be fused to create a single, more-powerful item. It's not entirely unlike the character customization system found in the core Budokai games, and it has an appreciable impact on the capacities of the different characters.
There are two other modes,the world tournament mode,which gives you several tiered tournaments to fight in and dueling mode that is a one-to-one combat mode aggainst a computer or another player.In dueling mode you first got just basic player but with compleating sagas you will get more and more player with you can play.Also like said there is really tons of unlocable players which are unike.
The gameplay is all the time the same,you just "beat em up"and thats it.Not much,not much.
The graphics in Tenkaichi is not so bad.Though the charecter look like they were drawen,its is good.When one charecter is all beaten then his clothes are scaterd and he looks like he is tired.One thing i also like that he stones and rocks an be smashed with a liitle power or even when you fly throug them faster.
The sound is also all-in-all good,before every fight they say something and thats pretty much cool.And you hear them fight,one hand crusing the other thats cool.
The gameplay is all the time the same,you just "beat em up"and thats it.Not much,not much.
