You're left wanting more, but in the end it's a very good game.

User Rating: 8.2 | Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi PS2
Dragon Ball Z budokai Tenkaichi is the 4th DBZ game to Grace the PS2. With this said, all those games are pretty good (especially Budokai 3) so now it's time for DBZ: BT.

Now you can call this game Budokai 4 or a totally different game, but as for the gameplay goes this is totally different from Budokai's, for example:

Square = punch (can finish of with Triangle, circle and X)
Circle = teleportation (only works when you're under attack)
Triangle = Ki blasts (hold for big KI blast)
L1 = powering up

And with all this new gameplay, comes a new camera angle. The camera is set behind your character, which brings somthing new to DBZ. And fortunatly, it's pretty damn good. But it's not perfect because it can get trapped behind rocks and buildings extra, thus, causing frustration. But for the time I have been playing it; it hasn't happend that much actually, hardly at all. The disapointing thing however, is that SPIKE have taken the big dramatic special move cutscenes out. The reason for this is that they think it makes the fighting more faster, but taking somthing away like dramatic special moves is really taking the spirit out of DBZ and replacing it with a crumy 3 second move. But you'll soon forget about it.

The good thing during battles though is that everything is descructable.....well nearly, it's a shame that you can't put a crater through the ground when you're sending your opponent flying.

The Graphics are AMAZING! it looks like they have just takn it out right from the show.

Sound is pretty mediocre, in story mode the voice's of the characters are pretty poor somtimes. and the Music just doesn't fit the cutscene's.

The life span of the game is pretty long, you got Z battle gate which you'll be doin most of the time....the thing with Z gate is that the cutscenes are about 7 seconds long, and very poorly done i must say. basically it just shows the characters talking without moving there bodies, and it only comes rarely when the do. Then you have an other mode which you have to face the 100 best rank fighters and try to get Number #1. And of course the World martial art tournaments.

Overall Dragon Ballz Budokai Tenkaichi is a very good game, and for the 3 hours of playing it's very addictive. If you're a DBZ fan you gotta get this game, and if anyone wants to try somthing new, check this out.
