The DBZ game fans have been waiting for
Ok it has been a year (more or less) since we had our last PS2 DBZ game, and it was well worth the wait. The gameplay has changed, no more looking from the side now its more like RE4 because you are looking over your fighters shoulder. Now this game is a fighting game, all be it a diffrent one that what we are used to. Compare it to the 1st time you played Mortal Kombat 4 after playing Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for years (difference is Tenkaichi is better than its predecessor) Its going to take a bit of time to get used to the new controls, but once you do you will see that the DBZ battles are more like the battles in the show then any game out there. Speaking of the battles you can recreate almost any fight that has been seen in the DBZ and DBGT shows. With a few exceptions (Pikon is a example) almost any character you can name is in this game.
Now I warn you there is no In game Transformations (you cant go from normal Goku to say Super Saiyan 1 in the fight) but once you start playing you will see this is actually a good thing, it would have done nothing but slow things back down, and in a game that is this fast paced it would have been a bad thing.
So whats the final verdict? This game is exactly what we DBZ and DBGT fans have wanted for a long long time. So if you are a fan of either series shell out the cash and go pick this up, but if your just a fighting game fan and you want a deep fighter go pick up Soul Caliber III
