I have played the first 2 Budokai game and i must admit that they were good DBZ games. After playing Tenkaichi i realise how far from the real thing they actually were. In this latest installement there is a lot of improvements

First is the movement. You can finally move freely around the battlefield. You can fly around your opponent while he is trying to blast you and kick him in the back. You can block Super Moves (even though you still take some damage) or dodge them if you are quick enough (or far enough). I love the way you can counter a Kamehameha with another one and have a "Beam battle" just like on the Show. If the opponents tries to rush you with a special attack it can also be blocked with a well time punch or blast.

You also have a bunch of new characters available to play (Most have to be unlocked) and several battlefields to choose from. The environments being entirely destructible also adds to the fun. The controls were a little tricky to get used to but once you get the hang of if it's a lot of fun. The action is fast and addictive.

One of the main that i also found really appealing on the game is the original Japanese Voices. Being a fan of DBZ since way before it played on TV here, i discovered the characters on the original version. I was very happy to see i could hear the character's voices the way there were meant to be.

The graphics are colorful and decent and the character design is faithful to the TV show. The sound is allright but not extraordinary. Alltogether i think this game brings us closer than ever to the actual action of the show. 3 thumbs up!!
