This game was ok, Budokai 3 was better! Read why in my review.

Some of the game's new features like free flying was pretty good, but there were many problems. First of all, THERE'S NO TRANSFORMING!!! What the- ! Isn't that what's great about the Anime series, the cool transformation, along with the cool attacks. What is Atari thinking? When you get new forms, you select them and you play with them the whole battle... Next, you get limited access to attacks because YOU CAN'T TRANSFORM. Thirdly the controls aren't all that great. There's an attack button...? Wha...? Also features like teleporting in Budokai 3 is way harder to perform because you have to use two button combos. One to teleport to the side and one to teleport behind enemies which get confusing. The button lay out is very different from the Budokai's. You definitely cannot just pick this game up and start playing. It will take a while for you to get used to the controls. Next free flying is cool but the lock-on is horrible. You will have a lot of trouble on the survival missions. When the enemy gets close to you, it automatically locks on, and you will have trouble fleeing. Lastly the energy system and special attacks are ok, it is not as good as Budokai 3 though. There are a lot more characters though. Now for buying it, if you like Budokai 3 and IS NOT a DBZ/GT fan don't buy it. If your still thinking about it RENT it first to save yourself some money. Now if you ARE a DBZ/GT fan RENT it first, definitely rent it. If you do like it, buy it. Now if you are a HARDCORE DBZ/GT fan that have money lying around, buy it. My thoughts- Atari should have let the same developers make the game and kept the battle system like Budokai 3 and add a few new feature, characters , and story. They shouldn't have change it so much and made it third person.
