After playing budokai 3 my hopes were really high for budokai tenkaichi. I was thinking of everyway it could be revolutionary. But with time my hopes went down and i eventually got to play shin budokai. Which was great, only limited by the psp. Now that i got to play tenkaichi i found out how shin budokai was formed.

First of all, at the end my expectations for tenkaichi were really low but that just helped the fact the game didnt dissappoint me. The actual gameplay should of received more credit from me from the start. There is the extended story which is a lot more fun that any other story in dbz games. The world tournament which is still fun, ultimate battle which is the equivalent of dragon arena. And of course duel , which at first i hated due to the split screen but in time you get used to it. Although there isnt as many capsules to collect as before there is still enough. There is a wealthy selection of characters. The actual battles although may feel repetitive at times its still fun while it lasts. The two player is either a hit or miss depending on the players

The graphics of this game are superb with the exception some environments are limited and there is some jaggedy lines due to the ps2 aging technology. The audio itself is superb and the original japanese and english voice overs are included. The only problem is the repetition of the same phrases which is also due to the ps2 aging technology.

The game is fun for a good amount of time, and i highly suggest it to fans of the series. But be warned its different than other budokai games but i honor its originality. So if this is where future games are going, then i highly support it.
