First of all, it doesnt play like the last 3. instead, you have a big area to fight in and can fly around it at any time. Infact, you may even ambush your oponent. it really simulates dbz battles and basicly puts the other 3 to shame. However, the story isnt very good, but fighting games arent ment for plot, there ment for throwing people through big rocks and blasting their head off. I dont see why gamespot gives it a 7.0 and budokai 2 and 3 in the 8s, because it truly owns them all. But be prepared for a huge learning curve. i recommend not useing the in game tutorial, and instead look at the manual. the manual explains everything without using 8657464 paragraphs to confuse you. Your characters start out with their attacks to, so you dont need to play forever to make your character decent.
Whats not to love?
Truly the best of the series. AND DID I MENTION 60+ CHARACTERS IN 80+ FORMS???
