Dragon Ball Z and GT fans will rejoice when playing this game. It has many fun characters with their average and powered up state. My three favorites were Super Sayain 4 Gogeta, Great Ape(Vegeta) and the awesome, short, and cheap Cell Jr.The controls are a bit odd at first but after a few fights the player should be well ajusted and ready to kick some butt. The equiptment feature is better than the other entries in this one mostly because you do not have to equip your special attacks(Kamehameha, Galick Gun, etc.) but you can still modify speed, ki, health, and other abilites using Evolution Z. You can also fuse items together to unlock characters, or improved power-ups for Evoution Z. The story mode, which is called Z Battle Gate, puts you in the shoes of either the hero or villian depending on the saga and you fight some of the series favourite battles from the TV anime and the mives. there are also some fantasy match ups that you can unlock to test your will to fight the heroes as the villians with all the moves that are crap. Another simgle player mode is Ultimate Battle mode. It is a ranking mode that consists of all the characters excluding some you must unlock using special tactics and the higher you go, the higher the A.I. of your computer foe goes. The prize is a special Z Item meant for Evolution Z. You can also train against computers in Warrior Traning mode ( a subsection of Ultimate Battle) and win a prize for besting 10 or more foes.World Tournament mode returns and has gotten rid of the invisible walls surronding the arena, making ringouts eaier and harder at the same time.A new addition to the World Tounament is the Cell Games. It is the same as the Advanced round, with two excptions: no fans and no ringouts. The battles are fought on the Cell Games Ring stage and they are all deathmatches. My favorite mode was the Duel mode. It is the only place(excluding the World Tournament) that two human players can beat the crap out of each other. You can chose between any character, stage and difficulty you want in this mode. You can also fight against a computer, or even make the computer fight itself. Finding the Dragon Balls has returned in single player mode, nut I'm not going to say anything for I fear I might reveal my secret.Until My next review, fare thee well, and check out my page.
