First off I will say that at the time that I am reviewing this there are far better games out there in the Dragon Ball Universe and this one was good for it's time. The big issue that I had with the game was that it only went to the end of the Cell Saga, and there was no movie characters involved in this one so it has a limited cast; however the combat is very smooth and the combos make it a relatively easy game to pick up and play so there I was impressed. I felt that there was more than enough difficulty options and things to unlock that there was plenty to do in the game and if you're skills weren't "Superb" then you could still do most of it. While this game features certain things that the other ones don't, like in the fight against Raditz there are small mini games that progress the plot, they don't make a very large impact in how good the game play is. This is truly just a game for the fan boys that we can appreciate. However for a US debut on the PS2 it's not bad. Certainly better than Ultimate Battle 22 although it does feature a smaller cast.
