The closest reproduction of true anime Dragon Ball fights, and a great fighting game. One of the best GBA titles out.
This game, Dragon Ball Super Sonic Warriors, manages to capture that fast and furious pace of the fights from the TV series, including most of it´s characters and a big chunk of the whole story of Dragon Ball Z.
The gameplay is one of the easiest ones to master, since most of the fighting is based in pure button mashing, leaving behind all those complicated combo sequences from other fighting games. The animation is great, portraying most of the intuitive and some times, hilarious moves straight from the TV series.
The Ki, or energy, that is used in combat to execute powerful attacks is really well done here, since you gain it by either fighting or focusing, so you never have too much or too little. The balance is great so that you cannot win by using only energy attacks.
The characters really show the characteristics of their TV counterparts, since most of them will have either (or both) different especial attacks and/or techniques that give them a really authentic feeling.
But the two best aspects of this game are its graphics and its sound, since some of them were imported directly from the Series. The effects are really creative, like when a character is thrown away and hits some kind of obstacle like a building or a mountain.
In the end, Super Sonic Warriors is the perfect choice for fans of the Series, the Comics, or just fighting games in general. It´s really easy to pick up n´ play, and promises many hours of fun... well actually just about 14 or 12, depending how long you GBA´s battery last unless you change them, which would give you lots of more fun.
