A DBZ game made like a classic fighter.
User Rating: 2.4 | Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu GBA
This is what you get when you try to make a DBZ fighting game using classic fighting mechanics...and leave out a lot of the series extras. No transforming, no easy super attacks, and difficult button combonations for techniques. Without assistance, you'll have no idea how to unleash what powers the characters are given. Even when you know them, you'll have to practice a little too much to be able to pull them off purposefully. Matched with the CPU play style, you'll have your butt handed to you on a difficulty higher than easy. There are pictures to unlock for content, but you'll only bother unlocking them all if you really feel like finishing the game off.
The graphics are a nice attempt at 3D, but do .1% justice to the actual series.
The sound...its a GBA game, sound doesn't really matter much. For what there is, sound is underwhelming if not unnecessary.
If you bought this game already, you have little to keep outside of pure collection filler. If you bought this game for a fun time, trade it in before you open the box. They should have been paying people to give this game away.
