Dragon Warrior, to me, is the best RPG that was ever created for the NES.

Dragonwarrior is a game about a lone warrior who is hired to save the Daughter of the King of the land and ends up having to save the world by Defeating King Dragon. You must travel the land, helping others so they can give you information about whatever your quest may need to lead you next. Dragonwarrior, to me, is one of the best, if not the best RPG that was ever released for the NES.

Anyone who enjoyed any other Dragon Warrior game will find this game worth the play even if it is a little simpler in its presentation. You take control of one guy who is a capable warrior, black mage and white mage. Also, you'll find that every fight is a one on one duel between you and whatever baddy you come across whether that be a skeleton or a slime. The sound compared to other NES games is actually pretty good. Graphics are pretty good too for being on the NES.

Grinding is a big part of this game for better or worse. If you're not the kind of person that's willing to grind for a little bit then you may not find this the game for you. for those of you that find Grinding as a necessary evil or even fun, you may be able to endure spending an hour or 2 in one spot earning the money for the equipment upgrade. That's right, You'll be grinding not for xp but, for money so you can get equipment to help you for the next area. It actually works out for you in the long run because you'll eventually gain a few levels and end up leaving the area taking minimal damage and doing major damage to anything around you until you get to the new area which equals things out so as to not be so easy on you.

The game itself isn't that long. Veterans could beat it in one sitting if you know where all the secrets are and the like. After beating the game, there's not much incentive to go back through it again, since there's no special mini-games or side-quests.

All in all, it's a great classic game that any fanatic of old-school RPGs should definitely give it a checking out. For those that aren't into the grind, you may not find this game to be right for you.
