The world as you know it is being threatened by the evil Demon Lord Baramos. Although man has no apprehension that the Demon Lord even exists. The village of Aliahan homes the greatest Hero of your time, your Father, the brave Ortega. Ortega was soon adventuring the world in hopes of slaying the evil fiend, Baramos. His journey halts when word reaches town that the courageous hero met his demise in the maw of a volcano. It seems all hope is lost, but the King of Aliahan is soon aware of Ortega's child and realizes that the world still has another opportunity for peace. On your long awaited 16th Birthday, you are summoned by the King to avenge your father's death and ultimately destroy Baramos forever. Before braving the territories outside the walls of Aliahan, new adventurers are advised to recruit up to 3 loyal companions at the local tavern. Help will be efficient on your dangerous mission through the world of Dragon Warrior III.

The class changing system is one of the best in any role playing game. They have classes like Hero (there is only one hero of course), Warrior, Jester, Mage, Cleric, Thief, Dealer and Sage. The battle system is like any other Dragon Warrior game. There are also a lot of fun mini games (monster metals and the track game [forget how to spell it]), and when you beat the game there are even more after quests for you to do. This game should keep you busy for a while.

You might want to play Dragon Warrior III over a few times since there are so many ways of completing the game. There are 9 different character classes, selectable genders, and numerous personalties that will keep you playing over with different parties. You might just get addicted to Pachisi or betting on Monster Battles. You may even completely concentrate on collecting Tiny and Monster Medals. You could even be focused on collecting as much Gold as possible to purchase the latest weaponry. There is so much stuff to do that you'll keep coming back for more.
