Nice game for the hardcore RPG fans only

There isn't much to say about Dragon Warrior VII. There are only two good factors that I think are worth mentioning in this game. Everything else in this game isn't that great. First off, if you can get past the first half of the game, the storyline really starts to pick up. I think that it is the best Dragon Quest Storyline that I have played so far (I have played 1,2,3,7,8). The other good factor is the class system is very in depth. I had fun picking out classes and trying out different things with the party.
But sadly, the sound isn't that great, the graphics are horrible, and the game has the same symptoms that early Dragon Warrior games had. This game requires so much level grinding it isn't even funny. I bought the strategy guide for this game, and there was this one area where the monsters were level 11. The area right after the monsters double in level to 22. They don't give enough experience to level up quickly, so you'll spend time after beating each area leveling up if you want to get through the game. This was my biggest gripe about the game.
Overall, if your the hardcore RPG type who can level grind, this game will suit you better than it did I. For others, I wouldn't spend time playing this game.
