One if not the best RPG for the PS2. The only other one even close it is FFX.

This game is one of a kind. Wirh a unique arstyle and a very good story line, this game is deffinetly worth its money. (Did I mention the fighting plain out rocked too!) The jourmey starts out with a young unnamed chracter riding in a carage with an odd looking creature. From this point on the game never lets down. With many fun and exciting activities to do, this game should at least last 80 hours. The battling system in this game is nothing new but this formula rules. I love turn based RPG's. They never get boring this game doesnt lack on boringness either. Dragon Quest VIII's art style is very unique. It looks like character from a Japanesse anime. Dragon Quest VIII is a must have for any RPG fan much less anyone with a PS2.
