I finished DQ8 sometime ago and decided to write a review for it. The game has a great presentation along with the old-school RPG style gameplay which is always fun to play. The story is quite simple yet it has its twists and things that could surprise you along the way so its not monotonous and is quite enjoyable. The soundtrack is simply amazing! It really gives you this epic feeling and goes really well with the game. The only downside I can think of is the leveling system and maybe some of the battles that occur in the game. Reaching the highest level is quite hard and can take ALOT of time so it gets annoying after a while, some battles especially at night can take some time usually 15-30 minutes maybe even more if you stumble upon some hard foes, but hey if the game went smoothly in every way then there would be no challenge, other than that the game is just right in every other aspect and would appeal to any JRPG fan or a square enix fan. If you have not played this yet I suggest you buy it since its pretty cheap by now.
