The bottom line is if you love traditional role-playing games then you need to play Dragon Quest. Everything you liked about the original Nintendo's Dragon Warrior is here. You will find familiar monsters like slimes, skeletons, drakes, and those ever frustrating metal creatures that give you plenty of experience points if you could just keep them from running away. Characters can equip a variety of weapons and armor, and there are many spells from which to choose from. There is even a cooking pot to mix weapons, armor and items together to make new more powerful ones. Fans of turn-based, random encounter rpgs will find this game very satisfying. However, the casual gamer may be turned off by the difficulty and length of this game.
Pros: -Old School style (Turn-Based, random encounters, plenty of weapons, armor, and spells) -It's the original Nintendo's Dragon Warrior with better graphics!
Cons: -Not enough story structure and variety for a game this long, and may put off some casual gamers.
