If you can play this game and not want the king to get hit by a bus, then I give you credit.
However, that being said, just because it looks like something out of a child's story book doesn't mean the difficulty matches that assessment. The game is very long and pretty difficult, and I ended up buying the game new along with the official game guide, which if you are considering buying the guide with it, I'd like you to listen to these following 4 words:
THE GUIDE IS USELESS.
The guide doesn't help a single bit and you'll end up just checking online in the Hints & Cheats section of this site for this game and pulling up a walkthrough/FAQ for it.
Anyway, getting back to the game, it holds its charm for a little bit and then just gets annoying when the random encounters get tedious and the leveling up process takes too long.
One thing I'll say is that I waited for the price to drop to 30 dollars before picking up this game, and I'm glad I did. If I would have paid 50 for it when it first came out I'd have been a bit more unhappy but since it was 30 when I picked it up it was worth the money. There are much better options out there, so if you feel like burning some time then you may as well just pick this title up, but if you are expecting a serious, deep storyline then you might want to pass on this.
