Dragon Scroll: Yomigaerishi Maryuu is an action Role Playing game developed for the NES. You assume the role as a nameless hero that has the ablilty to shoot fire balls from his hands. Your quest: To find the Dragon Scroll and to stop the dragon from coming. Story line is pretty simple. But for its time proved to be something different then a guy going out to save a princess.
For the NES standard of gaming, Dragon Scrolls looks good. The backdrops appear in a 3D perpestive creatures and human characters look different, which is more then I would come to expect from a NES game.
The music in the game is 8 bit greatness. If your a fan of old school sound tracks this game is for you. The music in the game stands strong of the epic, fantasy feel throughout the whole game.
This game is hard to get into at first, your thrown into a world, with a guy you know nothing about, and all you know is that there is a dragon comming, which means bad. But the concept of the game does not fall 100% short of the standard of gaming today. For the story does develope and the game doe draw you in.
If you find this game, definatly pick it up, may be hard to in this day and age but it is worth the 10 for $1 NES bargin bit at the pawn shop.
