This is an amazing game, so full of replayability, characters, enemies, paths and Endings that its hard not to love.
Storywise, Dragon Valor is immersive and lengthy, with many variations to take advantage of. Clovis, the first character you will play as, after seeing his sister die and his village burn at the fault of a dragon, inherits a sword that he uses to go after the dragon that burned his village. Depending on which paths you take during the games map travelling segments, your current character will have different children by different women, who you will use in the next chapter and so on until one of the several endings are reached, adding to the replayability.
Combat in Dragon Valor is good, given that the game is a sidescroller. Sword attacks and aerial moves with magic and several different enemies make it fun to fight in the several maps and areas you will come across. Bosses are mostly dragons, but the occasional human boss is a welcome change. Dragons, however, are varying also with many different, elemental dragons. For example, there is an ice dragon, a dragon able to become invisible, a slow dragon and also a fast one. Though there are many more, those are a few, all with different methods of killing them with the dragon slayer sword.
Puzzles are usually fairly logical though some are very easy, like push a box onto a switch or light a torch with fire to light a room. And most puzzles are accompanied by some sort of jumping and climbing. Its not the best part of the game but it does tend to set the pace apart from the majority of the action.
Overall this game is great and can be played several times and you will still find something new each time. Even though theres no way of buying it nowadays, it would be a rare find that should be appreciated alot more than it is.
