So there ya are minding your own business when a pesky dragon comes along and steals your heart, I hate it when that happens. Then ya get the power up and face down the dragon to win your heart back.....good plan.

I had my hopes down when I heard "RPG by Capcom" but ya know what, it was actually quite nice.

I would classify this one as an RPG styled Hack N Slash, cause it has a lot of the RPG elements, but your battle system is pretty much based on dodging with finesse, and attacking with raw push button power making each class pretty much equal in terms of difficulty to run. Once you get used to the controls, your personal button array, and aiming etc, the game will go tons smoother.

Nice medival Lord of the Rings type world....open world, yet kind of narrow. Great music, and lots of quests to partake.

The thing about this game that makes it unique is the pawn system. You design your main pawn (helper) and choose a class...then you get to summon 2 other pawns from the PSN that belong to other players. They as well can use yours in their parties. The trick is to make one that is attractive and helpful so that other players will want to use them....and hopefully even lower level players will send you in game money to use...I would put the game down for a few days at a time, let my funds add up, then purchase a level 62 monster and just walk through the rest of it...no problem. And so, as your pawn returns from helping other players, they may have gained knowledge of locations and items that can be useful. The game drops little hints here and there, one is if you find the game too difficult, you may want to consider a different pawn arrangement. I was the arcane archer, my main pawn a strider, and I summoned a mage for healing, and blew the aforementioned in game money on a high level fighter....that made for a fairly easy adventure 90% of the time. Large groups of bandits made for a bigger challenge than some of the big monsters.

Pimp your pawn!!

The things I didn't like about this game -- weird names for consumables...even toward the end of the game, I was still reading item descriptions to see what did what.....Pawns have about a dozen different things they say, that are repeated about 10,000 times. I could easily live my life not hearing the lines, "let's be doubly sure," or "it's best just severe the tail" ever again. To give the illusion that you've been fighting something way longer than you have, in game time progresses quicker while in battle with a boss. You can't just set up camp and rest wherever, so if you're a low level player and you get caught out doors after dark, it may just be best to just wait it out.....and it is a DARK and LONG night.
