Good Game, But Sloppy at Times
This game has nice graphics, I think the orchestral score is pretty good, not bad at least. The game play through most of it is simple and enjoyable. The game goes wrong when it expects too much from you. The controls aren't smooth, they are passable for most of the game, but a few bosses are demanding and the rusty controls make beating the bosses harder than it could be. Definitely beatable, I just beat it an hour ago. I admit, I cheated and looked at what to do for the last rendition of the last boss, only because I've grown tired of beating multiple incarnations of the last boss and when you die you start all over. Sadly, I was already on the right track, so had I shown a little more patience I wouldn't have needed to look. I didn't care so much for the ending. The best part of the game is exploring the trivial levels. Anything non-trivial is basically flat out annoying and exacerbated by the controls. Still, with all its short comings, I think this is a good enough game to beat and I'd recommend it. I took a huge break between beating this game, so I'm thinking about beating it straight through one more time.
