Review of Dreamfall: The longest journey. It has the best storyline in a videogame I ever seen. This is a must-have.
Dreamfall is in fact one of the best adventure games I've played, and is surely the one with the best storyline. It is very fun to play and you'll like it very much, if you DON'T skip the cutscenes.
In fact, some cinematics are so long that it feels like watching a movie. But they are just SO good that you'll never want to skip them. In this game, you'll learn what really is WATIcorp and you'll really feel immersed in the story (thanks to the great graphics).
You'll feel so much immersed in the story that you're going to come to love the characters and to wish that the game never ends.
You'll be playing three characters: Zoë Castillo, April Ryan (from the first the longest journey game) and Kyan. Though Kyan isn't played very often and is the less important of the main characters.
At first you're playing as Zoë. She's receiving some weird ads on the TV of a little girl that says: Find April Ryan, Save her... At first, Zoë thinks that's because of the static (interference, which caused the "collapse" 10 years ago). And she gets in awkward situations, trying to find out what happened to Reza (her ex.). Anyway, the story is very complicated, but you'll really want to dig through the story to find out secrets about WATICorp.
Anyway, this game is really good and should be played by anyone interested in adventure games and that like a game to have a good plot. It's not a click-and-drag game like the games in the same type, it's rendered in full 3D, which I think is more suitable to a logic game, since today's standards are higher than 10 years ago. So you deserve to yourself to buy Dreamfall: The longest journey if you can find a spare copy on EBay.com.
I'm rating it 10 out of 10, as this is the PERFECT adventure game, despite it's graphics being a little bit outdated (no motion-blur or whatsoever, not even AA).
