So there was not a lot of hope for this game. It's a game that is aimed at kids, and it is based off of a movie. Basically the top 2 marks of death for a video game. Thankfully, this was a decent enough game to overcome the prejudice and deliver an entertaining experience.
Of course it is a typical platform / brawler, so it isn't the deepest of games. The story follows the movie with a few flourishes to allow for the platform, and a lot of exclusions. Still you get the whimsical feel that the movie gives you.
The graphics are pretty cool, and the cutscenes are pretty. Not as good as the movie, but still. As far as video games go. Pristine.
The sound is just as good, and it serves what is happening on the screen pretty well.
It ended up being fun, but I am not sure I would ever revisit it, knowing I have games I have never played on my shelf.
