Drill Dozer is a quick, fun, and fresh game that was definitely worth the 10 bucks I paid for it.

Nintendo proves once again that they always can successfully incorperate new ideas into otherwise boring genres. The gameboy advance platformers always were a blast to run through but were never very interesting. Well, a new idea makes the game a fresh experience and the changed controls makes great use of all the GBA buttons. You will play 6 different worlds each with 3 different levels equaling out to 18 total fun areas to explore. The gameplay gets a bit repetitive and you occasionaly get the same monsters thrown at you, but the boss battles are creative and the gameplay is exciting enough to keep you interested. There is also a nice rumble feature built into the cartridge that makes a noticeable difference and doesnt become annoying or tiresome, it just adds to the drilling feel. The game is a bit short, however. And with its easy difficulty, you'll be finished with the game relativley quickly. I would have also liked a bit of drill customization All the extra areas will have been explored while playing the main game so there isn't much replay value but I picked it up for about 10 bucks so thats not a huge deal. I hope this creative title gets a sequel on the wii because I can think of some cool ways to incorperate motion-sensitivity. All in all, if you can find it for as cheap as I did (and even maybe if you can't), this game is definitely worth a purchase. It adds great new style to a dated and soon to meet it's demise system and if you can get it before the GBA bites the dust, it's a very fun game.
