Driver 2 is a worthy pick for any casual or hardcore gamer.
Driver 2 controls as you'd expect a sandbox driving game to. Walking controls are awkward and you can't use guns and Tanner moves on the slow side so most of the game will be spent in cars. But, the police can get you when you're in a car so there's a price to pay. The car chases in Driver 2 are almost perfection and the A.I. of the people chasing you is on the good side. In fact, this is a very tough game and that also gives it quite a few frustrating moments. The car chases are intense and will have you on the edge of your seat. Sometimes they may be too hard but the game is not unbeatable.
The graphics in Driver 2 look blocky, especially the character models but the cities look well and every car in the game is accurately detailed. The cutscenes look impressive as well. There are some nice shadow effects and overall it's a good looking game. not great but right behind the border. The sound is pretty good as well. The voice acting is great. The music can get a touch on the annoying side but it's not that bad and the sound effects sound pretty good. Driver 2 is a reasonably long game. It may take you a while to beat especially if you give up for a while because of the games difficulty. There are three huge cities to explore and missions galore. Driver 2 should keep you entertained for a while. Overall, Driver 2 is a worthy pick and a pretty good overall Playstation title. it is much better than the original Driver and has much more to do to make it a worthwhile choice for casual or hardcore gamer.
