GTA Clone? No way
The series started off as innovative, no doubt. Then comes along GTA 3 and blows all our minds away. Now, GTA 3 came out after Driver 2. The big step from Driver to Driver 2 was the ability to get out of your car and jack some other one. Do you people honestly think Driv3r stole from the GTA series, as well as Parallel Lines? The fact that the Driver series became like the GTA series was inevitable. It is obvious that the Driver series was headed in that direction anyway, it was the most obvious and predictable move the series could have made, yet the most satisfactory. The game is still more fun as a driving game as oppose to a killing game, and I think that the fact it's a little less violent and graphic could open itself up to a wider audience, if people would stop hearing that it's a clone. It's just bad luck Rockstar conceived its GTA 3 game faster than Atari. And what's the deal with only a 7 in graphics? The graphics for this game are no doubt better than the GTA graphics, so why an 8 for those graphics? Don't you think it's a little biased? I'm not saying this game is better, because it's honestly less fun, but can you really compare a driving game to an action game? Not in a million years.
Note that in DRIV3R some people asked if Atari didn't want us to call it a GTA clone, why did they have Timmy Vercelli's to kill, having a striking resemblance to Tommy Vercetti in Vice City? To mock it, for stealing an idea Atari probably had for quite a while.
Good music by the way.
