Getting there. A Solid improvement over the sh*t that was Driv3r

User Rating: 8.2 | Driver: Parallel Lines PS2
I was a little apprehensive when I put the PS2 rental disc in. I really wanted it to not be like Driv3r. But after the game started and I spent 15mins with the game, I felt satisfied. Perhaps my low expectations for it helped make it look better than it is. Perhaps its similarity to GTA.
Anyways, more GTA clones are a good thing if done well.

Gameplay -- not bad. Much room for improvement here.
Graphics -- hopefully the next gen will make it look like PGR3. For now, its the best it could get from Reflections. They've reached their max coding skill here. The houses are just copy/pastes. Views from Bronx, Jersey City to Manhattan look terrific. Kudos for that. Overall, it felt a little bland. Didn't have the GTA:SA sharpness. They need to improve graphics a lot. -
Sound -- okay 70's. Crap 00's.
AI -- not that bad. Hate the silly cops. But its easy to lose them.
Value -- if you just like driving around as in GTA with nothing much to do, you may like to buy it. If not just rent it.
Tilt -- Lets give them some more funding to keep this franchise alive.
