a HUGE improvement on the 3rd game, it went back to its ps1 roots and added some decent gunplay, and it works...

To be honest, i wasnt expecting a decent game out of parrallel lines, and i groaned when i saw the gamespot review of it, but as I had completed all the other games in the series (including the shockingly bad driv3r) I decided to rent it, and it was very lucky that i did!! After that i bought it and played it till the end.

GRAPHICS~ They have somehow taken a knock from driv3r but they have less bugs than it, and it does have a better framerate, less glitches and bugs, and you can see TK's hair flopping around! New york looks pretty damn good, and the seventies looks... well seventies!

GAMEPLAY~Probably the best driving in a free roam game ever, slightly frustrating gunplay and extremely hard missions, will start to get on your nerves after a while, but there is a way of making missions easier for yourself, by doing some need for speed style modding!! OK, so i lied a bit, its nowere near as good or in depth as NFSMW but you can get some bullet-proof windows and tyres to make your job easier!

VALUE/LENGTH~Only 32 missions, and slightly repettive side jobs, but it will give you 15-20 hours play and there is a lot of messing about with the thrill cam, but there is a sad loss of the replay mode, but there is a lot of hours that you can waste getting into poloice chases and modding your cars to the full with NOS, and engines and body kits.

SOUND~ Since they have got good engine sounds and good voice acting, its not bad, but... the soundtrack is amazing! well the 70's one is anyway, its all hip-hop and rap in 2006, but in the 70's they have got some pretty cool stuff!

IF YOU ARE A FAN OF THE SERIESOR A FAN OF FREE ROAMING GAMES, IT'S A MUST, IF YOU ARE INTO THE SEVENTIES ITS AN ABSOLUBTE MUST, IF NOT YOU MAY NOT LIKE IT.
