This game is no doubt one of the greatest racing games on the Playstation console. It was worthy enough to earn the title as Best Racing Game of E3 1999. I am really astonished at how well the story and missions were done. It can stil offer a lot of great replay value and I would play it over again so many times as I have done that and it takes a long set of time before it gets boring for me. This game is the biggest root of the Driver series as it started the franchise and is still considered the best Driver title. Most people say so and I say that too. There's just so much this game offered that we do not see very much these days and it had so much greatness to it that I would consider it the King of Mission-Based Driving and of Car Chases.

It has the best Film Director as it lasts the longest and functions better than even DPL, D2, and D3. The graphics aren't the best around, but the graphics for the cars and the environment look good. Whether you are playing Undercover mode, TAR mode, or any of the other modes, the gameplay is very addictive, fun, and lasts for quite some time. The damage modeling and crashes are great to see, even for a PS1 game. The songs, storyline, missions, cars, cities, modes, AI, and characters are all presented very well. All of this makes this game the perfect value for anyone who loves racing games and who is a fan of the Playstation. I highly recommend that anyone pick up a copy of this game.
