Duke is back and just as solid as ever! 3D realms has done a great job with this epic XBLA title!
I know, I know, it's an ancient game and the graphics look exactly like the did in 1996, but gameplay and fun factor easily make you forget about the games dated graphics. Personally i think they work perfectly with the XBLA game and it's nostalgic to see it in it's oldschool glory.
So, on to the good stuff. I spent 4 hours straight playing Duke3D on the 360 and I must say I walked away completely satisfied. Owning the original DOS game and being a huge fan, I could easily say that 3D Realms have done a remarkable job with the port! Coop and deathmatch were so epic and fun that I am sitting here wanting to play another ranked match! I played through singleplayer and had a blast going through all those levels I had forgotten about.
Duke controls and handles very well and the controller layout is perfect. Aiming feels just right and the game runs at 60fps (of course). My only grip is the 4:3 aspect ratio but it's no big deal. I love the game, and i recommend anyone that has or has not played it give it a go. :)
