I'll keep it short... Quite simply, AWFUL!!

Boring boring boring!
I understand some people will review this game without comparing it to games we've become accustomed to, but I just dont see how you can.
A.I. is awful! Example, 3 enemies stood in a room, they dont come looking for you, they dont hide, they barely move and only shoot you if you cross their line of sight.
Graphics awful! we're in 2011 for crying out loud! I'm not asking for the best graphics in the world but please something that looks like it's from the second half of the last decade isnt too much to ask for is it?
Sound not great. Guns sound like they came from the original. Voice acting is bland and relatively flat.
Gameplay BORING! To me this is where a game needs to be up to date and exciting, this however was not. Felt worse than the original and I was 11 then. Obviously because i've grown and played a lot of games I feel this way, but you just cant create a game like this and expect it to work in the current market.
Allow me to explain, I wasnt expecting the best game of 2011, far from it, but I was expecting a game that felt "classic" but with an up to date touch about it. I mean is you dont see a remake of a movie from 30, 20 or even 10 years ago made with the same special effects, movie remakes (for better or worse) are made using up to date technology and up to date CGI not the same old cartoon monsters drawn on and placed over the top, which is how this game felt to me.
Bottom line, if this game had come out 8-10 years ago it would have suited the era but in todays climate it feels very out of place, like it was brought out for one purpose, to make someone somewhere a little bit of money. They should have left it dead or started from scratch.
