Sweet! A new Command and Con.... Wait a second...

I understand that when a game company makes different games, certain gameplay or grpahical elements make exist in all of them. With Rockstar, they of a lot of open world games like GTA, Red Dead, and Bully. BioWare makes RPGs with really strong stories and branching paths, like with KOTOR and Mass Effect. Bethesda makes massive open world first person RPGs such as Fallout and the Elder Scrolls. But with Westwood, the long gone studio that created the greatest real time strategy series of all time Command & Conquer, didn't even try here. This games is just Command and Conquer: Red Alert with a Dune paint job. Granted, it's a pretty good Dune paint job, but it's the laziest game I've ever seen. I mean it's not to say that the gameplay is bad or that I didn't enjoy playing it. I really did, and as a hugh fan of the early C&C games, I felt right at home as soon as I booted up Dune 2000, as the tech trees, resource gathering, interface, and some of the units are exactly the same as those games. But considering that this is a licensed product, you'd think that that Westwood would put a little bit of effort into it, right? Well to quote Kevin Spacey.... WRONG!!! They really just took C&C, changed a couple building models, added a couple Dune references, pacakged it, and shiped the sucker. Even though I got this as abandonware, I feel like it was a waste of a download/time. I'd rather play a really C&C game anyday.
