An addictive light hearted dungeon builder that lets you smack whatever moves in your dungeon!
"At the start of the day you will often find villagers with quests for you, villagers preaching the latest things at their shops, and/or that old man simply wanting a coin to give you advice. You hit up the construction shop, pick up walls, hallways, rooms, etc, etc for your dungeon and then descend into the darkness. Once in the dungeon, its hack 'n' slash through everything that moved in overnight. You collect the loot, cash, etc, etc along the way until there is nothing left.
Once the dungeon is cleared out, feel free to expand on the dungeon with all those building materials you bought earlier at the construction shop. Add hallways, rooms, corners, stairs, etc, etc. Refurbish existing rooms to make them more appealing, redesign hallways, heck you can hit one button and wipe the entire floor so as to start fresh!
Once your content with the layout as it is, you head back to the surface where you will be greeted by any villagers who's quests you completed while down below. You hit up the bazaar and sell off any loot you dont need, visit the market to see if the lady has any new recipes available, hit home where you eat a meal, and then sleep/save. "
Thats your average day in a nutshell. Eating meals is the way you improve yourself in this game. Various receipes over bonuses to hp, mp, various stats, etc. You start out with a blunt weapon in this game but there is nothing here preventing you from going and being a spell caster, or a ranged weapon user, its all your choice though you should always have that rock spell handy because there are monsters that shrug off blunt weapons as well as some that simply laugh at arrows aimed in their direction. Weapon combat seems simplistic but there is good bit of block, dodge, run around, strategy involved along with combo's etc.
Dungeon building is simplistic and complex both at the same time. Its very easy to toss walls here and there, rooms all over the place, and fill up the 20x20 grid thats available for each level. ... But if you want the best monsters to come to your dungeon you have to consider their likes and dislikes. Monsters like lots of corners to hide behind. Monsters like fountains to drink from, places to hide loot, they dont like their rooms near the elevator that links you to the surface/other levels, etc, etc. You can build a dungeon in an hour, but it'll take days/weeks for you to perfect it.
The only lacking part for me in this game would be the sound. Some of the tracks are decent but there are just as many that have me looking for a music volumn control...which dosent exist.
So lets see, dungeon design at your finger tips, random monsters every day, the ability to redesign your dungeon as often as you want in your quest to perfect it, 20 levels of 20x20 dungeon building to be done, gear to collect, stats to improve... thumbs up to the designers!
