BEST MIX OF GENRES I'VE SEEN IN YEARS!

It would be difficult to say one single reason that makes this game great. The developers blend of genres and insight into what makes these genres so great that bring this game to the top in creativity and quality gameplay. Many games have tried and failed at merging genres together but there are only select few that can make something so new, yet so familiar to ones gamer psyche that even from the beginning you feel right at home.

THE FOUR GAME TYPES:

Dungeon of the Endless acts like an RPG with memorable heroes that you'll love right from the get go. You start with only 2, but in the end you will have a team of four heroes to control to get you through the Endless Dungeon. There are not Tech-Trees per say, but how far you level each hero, what gear you equip, as well as which heroes to choose for your team, will bring you much trial and error during your play. Each hero is leveled with Food, which is on of the four main resources needed throughout the game.

The resource management brings this out this games STRATEGY side. Food, Industry, Dust, and Science (FIDS) are your prime resources. You will have to decide what your focus is as you spend precious Industry on Major Modules or recruit specific characters to Operate and boost your FIDS as you open each door. If you run out of food, you can't heal your team, if you run out of industry you cant boost your FIDS growth. Keeping your resources in check is a very important part of this game.

Then there's the TOWER DEFENSE portion of this game. Not only will you get heroes to run around, you will get Minor Modules that can kill off the baddies. And you're going to need them too! Wether it's a Tesla Module to fry your enemies or a Neurostun to slow them down to a crawl, as the waves come you're going to need back up.

Speaking of waves, there are many many waves of completely randomly generated monsters to fend off. This is were the ROUGE-LITE/LIKE portion of this game comes in. Every time you open a new door there are endless possibilities to come. Will it be treasure? A Merchant? Some free Food? or… A huge wave of monsters that triggers more monsters in ever room you have unpowered? Who knows, but as you search each floor for the precious exit you'll have to keep on your toes.

CONCLUSION

This has been one of the most rewarding games I've played in quite awhile. If you enjoy characters of RPGs, the challenge of ROUGE-LITES/LIKES, the fun of TOWER DEFENSE, or resource management of STRATEGY games, this one will be your new fav. The game is beautiful, the gameplay is fun, challenging, and unique, plus there is a great community on GAMES2GETHER for any support of multiplayer match ups you'd be interested in. A+ Game worth eve penny and hour you spend playing.
