I would have more respect for this game if it was a browser game. It was obviously aimed at casual gamers.
The graphics and sound are below average. Spell effects are mediocre and combat is **** While heavy on story, it bores you with laughable voice acting. Character development is streamlined and ****ty. The amount of spells for magic users are embarrassing.
I have not played long but It appears that there are no pots available. You heal yourself with a skill that depends on another skill that depends on you hitting people. Confusing? You'll get the hang of it once you play it. Still a stupid thing to do in my opinion.
The Multiplayer component is simply pathetic. It does work locally when you have a younger brother/sister or gf/bf or a friend who wants to jump in and try the game. They will be given a choice of 3 main characters (the ones you did not pick) and jump in the game, these characters will then be scaled to your level. The sad part about the multiplayer is that they used the same bull**** system for the online play. Why the **** would you chose to go into someone else's game and help him and not keep any items and xp you gain?
Obsidian entertainment, you are the Justin Beiber of gaming. All you do is murder well established franchises. Honestly, Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony, a PSP game, had more content and RPG elements put into it. Hell, if you took out half the RPG elements frome ToA, it would still be a better RPG than Dungeon Siege 3.
