Ok, compared to the stuff out there right now, I wouldn't even recommend it. But I found a used cart of this game at the local shop and for $5.00 it's a Darn good value. If you are as old as I am, you probably played the old SSI Forgotten Realms classics on a PC x86. Like me, when you finally upgraded to XP all those classic games and characters and parties and whatnot wouldn't play on the newer stuff and you've had to say goodbye to old friends. I picked up this cart while waiting for Poke'mon D/P and had a week to wait, was bored, and for $5.00 I could have a sandwich or a hot helping of 1st person maze / turn based strategy mayhem.

The controls are clunky, the art isn't dated, it's original Wolfenstein bad. The characters get hit and unfortunate sounds of women's shrieks issue forth which have no freakin relation to the context. It's fun, and for the price it was worth every nostalgic penny. Trust me. If you still pine for Azure Bonds and Pool of Radiance (The first one, not the newer one from a few years ago) then this is a gem. I've played a lot of D&D in my day on PC and on consoles, for the quick fix, blast from the past, hardkore old-skool folks out there that remember when Hackers was a new and innovative flick.... it just works. If you see it on the used shelf and it's priced right, give it a whirl to see what us old timers thought was cutting edge back on our Commodore 64.
