Quick jumps between long battles, but true to the rules.

I haven't read what others are saying, and I'm only about 5 missions in, but I've found this to me a pleasant, if somewhat dragging game. Sounds alittle contradictory, but what I mean is that some of the combat elements and mechanics can make things move alittle slow, such as moving one party member at a time when out of combat.

Still, I believe I understand why it was done, so it doesn't generally impact my enjoyment of the game. So far, the story seems more of an excuse to move from map to map, but, at this point, I'm assuming that has more to do with how early on I am in the game (if not, my score would have to go down).

Basically you pull together a party, and move from location to location fighting tactical battles. You have your standard upkeep in between and some brief, blah dialogue, then you're on to the next fight. I'd be more upset about it, but, so far, I'm really enjoying how accurate the game seems to emulate the tabletop combat of games I used to play in. For me, it's this element I think that keeps me from finding the game more monontonous.
