This was the first game I ever got for my PS2 and the graphics owned. To me they looked great and gameplay was pretty interesting too. Hack, slash, hack, slash… So I tried a few different characters, hack, slash, hack, slash… So maybe the gameplay is repetitive! You get through the storylines, which seems mainly the same for each character. Very very few levels and suddenly the game seems very very short! Clearly this is a game all about the first impression, great graphics, although the levels appear to be very much the same all the way through. The background music and sound effects where pretty cool. But DW2 lacks depth and the storylines needed enhancing. Different maps where needed for the different characters and the shortness brings an incompletion. In the end you have a game where all they must have worked on was the graphics engine with a few additional elements. Least you had a map to help you on your way. But this is a rental and doesn’t need to stay in my collection.
