dw3-xtreme. wow, a new coat of paint. pretty. how does koei keep getting away with these add ons?! it's ridiculous......
yes, there's new costumes. nothing more elaborate than different colors on the same themes, more or less. there are three new characters...i think.
the gameplay is exactly the same as dw3. the collision detection is exactly the same as dw3. the story is -of course- exactly the same as dw3.
amazingly enough the price is very close to the same as dw3. somehow koei seems to believe it is immune to the concept of depreciation. last week, (april 2006) i found dw3-original...new pricing at 45.00$ at a reputable game shop. koei never reduces the price on it's games, and it has become an insult to the intelligence of gamers (not that repeatedly releasing the exact same game is a compliment to our iq's either). why do we keep buying these???
bottom line...nothing here will impress or inspire. you -have- seen it before. the only real difference is it's a little sharper than the last one. that's it.
please stop supporting these addons. :)
