A very fun and addicting epic war-time game.

Dynasty warriors has always been about one thing: battle. DW4EL does not let you down in that aspect at all. You fight as one of more than 50 legendary characters in an endless amount of battles. Each battle pits you alone against an entire army in most cases to see if you can complete the objective. You can also recruite other characters to join in the fun as the game progresses. There are mutiple playing modes which add to the fun. The most prevalent is the Extreme mode, where you fight in as many continuous battles as possible all the while boosting your players stats. It even features a one-on-one duel mode which can be quite fun. You can even load in previous saved data from DW4 or load the Mosou mode from the previous DW4 game and play it as well. There were only two downsides for the game for me. First off, if you dont have the original DW4 you cant play the mosou mode, which is more of a "story" mode for each character. The "Extreme" mode featured in this game is fun, but each battle is random, without an overall story to it. The other downside was the fact that your character stats to not transfer between modes. If you build up your character in the Extreme mode, but then want to play the Duel mode, your character will go back to being the basic one you started with. I think this was done to add replay value because you would have to play each mode for a long time to get your character built up in each mode, but I felt as if they should have relied on the sheer number of characters to provide the replay value. So as it is, you will probably just stick to the one or two modes that you like the most. One added bonus to the game though is the "Character create/ body guard edit" feature. This is where you can select from pre-selected gender, body types, colors, weapons, even fighting styles, to create your own unique character. Sadly though your created character is limited to only certain modes. Overall it is a fun and addicting game that gives you a sense of battle satisfaction. There are few things more fun than taking a high level character into a weak army camp and racking up 500 kills. Thats right 500. Some of these battles are intense and require some time to get through, but are incredibly fun to play. So if your looking for a game that you can sit down for a bit and just have fun, this is the one for you.
