The breakdown of the best game throughout the series. Still just as tedious as the others but slightly revamped.
Hack n' Slash with strategy who could figure. Believe me a few hav some became favorite games as some were forgotten about. The difference between those and that of the other Dynasty Warriors is that this game has "Empires" in it's name! But all jokes aside this game is definetly a good game not a revolutionary one but a good one.
The idea of Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires as well as the others is to hack n' slash your way through countless levels of sheer mayhem, but it doesn't stop there! You can put policies into effect which feels interesting in this game. The modes in the game are so little that there isn't much to do but making a general isn't bad.
Now here is the breakdown exactly: The sound is no different from any of the other games so don't be suprised and the enemies still stand in front of you waiting to get slashed so don't expect you feeling like a true winner after the battle. The gameplay is tedious but the fun of it all isn't lost, in fact it's still totally there it's just getting older. The plain fact that it's mindless fun helps a lot but not enough to overcome the tedious gameplay.
The graphics are not bad but nothing great either but if you're like me you don't focus on the graphics much. It regular is all it really is nothing too fancy, nothing too special. Empires could very well be the route Koei should focus on but ultimately what they do is up to them.
This game is only twenty-five to thirty dollars at retailers so it's definetly worth spending the cash but RPG fans be warned this game is not for you guys. To others you can think of this game as "Star Wars: Battlefront" imperial style.I have always liked the dynasty warriors franchise although I've only played a few but the few that I have played have all the difference.
