When I saw this Game on the selves of EB I found myself flashing back to the thrill of Dynasty warriors 3. Back then the Game was a fresh new Idea. But 29 million Dynasty Warrior spin offs latter I had lost my will to play Dynasty Warriors. And with the New Empires Expansion coming out soon I thou what the heck I'll try anything once... Plus theres always store credit toward Grandia or Elder Scrolls. So I picked it up and me and My brother started playing what was a fairly decent version of a game we had seen done a million times over. What I did like was the new Officer Create Mode It was alot like the ones in the past games but, I found this one more enjoyable after all who doesn't like pretending to be a samurai in ancient China???(why does Zhou Tai have a Uchi-gatana anyway they weren't even crafter until 1100 A.D.) Yeah well after hours of repeative hacking and slashing we went through a couple more hours of start Xtreme mode over to find both of our Custom Officers Just to find out how boring Xtreme Mode is... You would think with the name Xtreme It would kick major "exponent deleted" But, it didn't... Even with all the same story lines and boring cutscenes there is still a game play factor in there that I love and thats with the code breaker and infinite Musou Gan Ning style... Try it It alotta fun to run around the stages at mach speed.... Finally to my point, DW5:XL is a solid expansion and has no real flaws to it other then lack of originality... If you have time on your hands and 8 bucks rent it... Buying was a waste of 10 bucks toward Elder Scrolls IV...
