when you turn on your ps2, and the game starts, you'll have a trailer that shows you one guy against a thousand, fighting alone and eventually winning. and that's pretty much what you'll do. the graphic it's nothing expecional,... well, it is actually pretty poor, not many things you can destroy, the characters animations sometimes are a little weird. the ground does often seem like 2d designed, when it should be a 3d. sometimes the people gets out just from nowhere. and the backgrounds... well, sometimes your ridind on your horse, when a castle appear a little bit in front of you. but still, you must keep in mind the loading times (are real short, and that's real gooood), the people on the screen (i believe the average of people on the screen it is above the 25 soldiers, not counting the different officials, with different stats).and it never slows down. what i'm tring to say is that the graphics is, after all, fair. not bad.

the sound... well, nothing's wrong with the music, they're just what a game like this needs... but the voices..... well, some officers that are big, bad, kickass guys, when hit scream whit a girly high pitched voice...(for anyone who knows the game, gan ning its an example). and anytime you kill an officer or you use the real mousu (mousu it is a rage bar that loads with the damages you inflict or receive), there are some guys that say some stuff real annoyng, that after a while makes you shut the television up for good.

the characters are usually well balanced and you'll soon have your favorite. and at the end of their story yo'll have understood what kind of person you used. the story would be a great story, it's the story of the three chinese kingdoms, but it is, in the game, only an excuse to explain why you are there, in front of a thousand guys, with a sper, a horse and twenty arrows (that you most likely are not gonna use).

the gameplay is easy to learn, and after ten minutes you'll move on the joypad istintively.

the game itself it is about killing thousands of people. yes, it is repetitive.
but it is kind of strange how it can get an hold on you... i mean, it is ripetitive, but it is not annoing or boring! that's the strange part... you can play it for five minutes, than save and go out with your girlfriend, or you could play it for three hours straight (and then go out to fight your neighbourn with a stick, riding your dog...). ok, there is some people who doesn't like it... well, there actually some people who hates it. so what? everyone elses just loves it! it's basically a matter of discovering if you'll love it or not.
have you ever read hokuto no ken comics and dreamed of fighting in a desperate war against anyone? have you ever dreamed to stand in front of an army of people... and beat the hell out of them? what about fighting single handed against a amazingly strong warrior? and what would you do if that warrior would be much strongr than you? or much luckier, enough to kick your big butt and make it real smaller? would you fight 'till death, risking everything? would you wait for help? or would you trun away while he shouts impropers to you and your people morale gets lower and lower, because their general is running away like a chicken?
(i dunno it is so damnly addictive!)

rent it first, but if you'll find it any good, or worth of interest, just go ahead and buy it.
