The latest installment of the Dynasty Warriors series has really been improved this time, with 6 new playable characters and an improved gameplay. What I really like about this game is its difficulty. Unlike in the previous Dynasty games, this one is much easier. In DW3, I always spent 1-2 hours just to finish 1 stage, and it can be tiresome sometimes. However, in DW5, I find it really easy to finish the stages and not waste too much time on one stage only. Another thing are the costumes. The costumes in 5 are really cool, compared to the character's costumes in DW4 (which, I think, was too flashy as if they were made by gay men). This time the costumes are real simple and seem to reflect the character's personality. The weapons are awesome, too.
One thing that many still complain about are the dead bodies of peons disappearing. Come to think of it, it really would have been nice to see the litter of bodies in every stage whenever you kill, but I'm not really fussed about that. The music is better, and it kind of makes you feel good (especially the song "A Rising Feeling"...that really hypes me up) whenever you're playing.
I hope Koei would never stop making these games, but I hope that next time they should add more characters and new features, so that many won't be disappointed.
